  • Interactive scenario based discussion right after lunch!

Animal handling training:

While CO SART is working towards an animal handling training program, we feel strongly that animal handling requires extended hands-on experience that should be obtained by working or volunteering in a program or facility that provides regular animal handling opportunities such as veterinary hospitals, animal shelters, animal control agencies, or livestock associations.

Harrison Memorial Animal Hospital (another program of the Colorado Veterinary Medical Foundation does provide voluntary opportunities on an ongoing basis.  Visit www.hmah.org for more information.

CO SART is working to develop or identify additional training opportunities for individuals and teams association with the CO SART/CART network and the CO Veterinary Medical Reserve Corps.
