The elders have many interesting stories to tell, and you can reproduce them in your composition. If you can not discuss with your grandparents, visit an organization that will put you in contact with some old people that need company. They will be happy to talk to someone, and you will find the perfect subject to write about in your paper. To save some time, you can quote them instead of rewriting their entire story. This will also allow your colleagues to know the person behind the story and to understand better what they mean.

Write about a symbol of your city. Every city has some old buildings that no one pays attention to. You might even pass in front of it every day on your way to school, but you never actually know how important it is. Try to find one unknown symbol of your city and bring it to light. Your colleagues will be happy that they learned something new, and your professor will give you a good grade.

Write about your favorite book. When you don’t have other ideas, use this trick. Like all students, you probably have your favorite book or story. Why not discuss about it and allow other people to get to know it? You don’t have to make research or make too much effort when you write; you already know everything there is about it!
